Experience Our 18-Hole Course – directly in the quiet and beautiful nature.
For golfers with a maximum handicap of 54, Øland Golf Club offers a fun and engaging 18-hole course that welcomes players of all levels.
The course is set in beautifully scenic and peaceful surroundings, about 30 minutes northwest of Aalborg. Oxholm Manor’s beech forest provides shelter from the westerly winds, and several holes offer panoramic views over the Limfjord and the Ulvedybet bird sanctuary. There is no traffic noise here — only nature and quiet. Øland Golf Club is not a traditional forest course, but rather an open nature course. Many holes are framed by Øland Forest, yet the forest itself plays only a limited role in the actual shot strategy. Only on a few holes do trees act as true hazards or strategic elements.
The terrain is highly varied, featuring old trees, lakes, and historic dikes from the time when Øland was an island. The Oxholm loop is hilly, with holes 3 to 7 running up and down the slopes of Øland Forest. The Ulvedybet loop is flatter, and holes 11 to 14 lie in a more open landscape.
One of the elevated teeing grounds — hole 4 — is built on a place with findings from Bronze Age.
Øland Golf Club’s 18‑hole course offers a sporting challenge where precision and course management matter more than raw power. Thanks to the sheltered nature‑course character, play is rarely affected by strong winds — a rare advantage in Northern Jutland.
Several fairways are narrow and demand controlled tee shots, while the greens are moderately undulated and of high quality, rewarding accurate approaches and confident putting. The course has only a few doglegs, so the challenge lies not in complex hole shapes but in placing the ball correctly and avoiding the strategic trees and hazards that come into play on selected holes. There is only one fairway bunker on the entire course, as Øland is already challenging enough without heavy sand protection.
Hole 7 is played as a blind hole, where a bell signals “clear fairway” for the group behind — a classic and charming detail that adds a touch of traditional links‑style strategy.
Overall, Øland is a fair and scenic course where golfers of all levels can enjoy a sporting challenge without being punished unfairly. It rewards thoughtful play, precision, and calm decision‑making — while offering an experience of nature and tranquility that is just as valuable as the score itself.
Holes 1–9 are known as the Oxholm loop, and holes 10–18 are named Ulvedybet. Both loops have individual course ratings, so players wishing to play only nine holes should ensure they select the correct course when printing their scorecard.

We have 7 golf carts available for rent, which can be reserved during office hours by calling +45 98 23 66 23 or directly at the clubhouse.

Our Clubhouse
Our clubhouse is a converted country farmhouse — a truly charming and cozy place to relax.
We don’t offer a restaurant or foods for sale, but You’re welcome to enjoy your own packed lunch here. You may store it in the refrigerator during your round.
Please note that all beverages enjoyed in or around the clubhouse must be purchased from us.
We offer a selection of bottled beer, soft drinks, wine, coffee, and tea — all at very reasonable prices.
Payment options: MobilePay or cards. Notes and coins are accepted to a limited extent
At Øland Golf Club, we’re always happy to make a good deal for groups and “clubs within the club.” If you’re 15 people or more, we can also offer catering before and after your round. Since this is handled by volunteers, we kindly ask that you book in advance.
We also offers access for autocampers with power outlets and access to clubhouse facilities during the stay. Contact the office to reserve a spot for your camper. A stay at Øland Golfclub is a perfect spot for visiting the Øland forest, the bird sanctuary Ulvedybet, cosy Gjøl with marina and the forest playground Glarborgen.

Golf Cart Rental
Øland Golf Club has 7 golf carts available for rent.
You can find prices for golf cart rental below — for guests, club members, and 10-round passes.
Please note that any damage caused by the driver is the driver’s own responsibility.
Important: Danish law requires a valid driver’s license for renting a golf cart.

- Cross the fairway by the shortest route – often at a right angle to the direction of play.
- Always keep a safe distance from greens and bunkers.
Drinking Water and Toilets on the Course
Drinking Water:
There are water taps with drinking water at holes 1, 9, and 10.
Toilets:
In addition to the clubhouse toilets, there are toilets located between holes 5 and 6, between holes 11 and 12, and between holes 15 and 16.
Pay & Play Course:
There is a toilet near hole 6.

Direction from Aalborg/Nørresundby
From the East
At Aabybro, take the second exit (three-quarters around) in the roundabout towards Thisted.
Continue straight ahead until you have passed through Halvrimmen. Shortly after leaving the town, turn left and follow the signs — the route will take you through a stretch of forest to the golf club, which is located on the right-hand side.
Please note that you will first pass the greenkeeper’s yard before reaching the main parking area of the golf club..

Coming from the Fjerritslev area
From the West
In Brovst, turn right at the traffic lights.
Continue straight ahead (passing through a roundabout) until you reach a T-junction. Turn left and follow the road until you have Oxholm Manor on your left and a windmill on your right.
Here, turn right and drive straight past the windmill through Hammershøj/Østerby until a sign points left towards the golf club.
The club is located shortly after on the left-hand side.
EV chargers
Klubben råder over 2 ladestandere med 11Kw udtag til brug for gæster med el-bil, hvis man ønsker at oplade bilen under runden. Ladestanderne udbydes af Norlys.
he club provides two 11 kW charging stations available for guests who wish to charge their electric car during their round. The chargers are operated by Norlys.
Motorhomes / Campervans
If you arrive in a motorhome or with a caravan, you can purchase day‑access to electricity and the club’s facilities. Several designated spots with power outlets are available. Please contact us by email to book a camper pitch.
By staying on the club’s grounds, you will be close to beautiful walking and cycling routes in Øland Forest, Glarborgen, the Dam (Dæmningen), the Limfjord, Gjøl and the Ulvedybet bird reserve. It’s an excellent starting point for excursions on foot or by bike.
The price for renting a camper pitch with electricity and access to showers and toilets is DKK 200 per day (2026).
